I was pulled over with no Insurance. What should I do?

I was pulled over by a park ranger going about 25 in a 15mph zone. I didn't have any insurance and the Ranger said i would probably receive a ticket for about $450 in the mail. What should i do to spend minimal money and if possible not get it on my record.

When you say a "park ranger" is that federal or state? I handle lots of speeding and no insurance tickets, both federal and state and have great success having them dismissed or reduced to a non-moving violation. Feel free to give me a call for a free consultation.

I concur with Mr. McWethy -- get insurance now, get an attorney now. You will be prepared to fight on whatever ground you encounter. A challenge to the original stop, a challenge to the speed charge, mitigation for the no insurance charge and a bit of grace from the Court and you could come out OK. Of course, the least expensive route would have been to get insurance originally -- it is both legally required and a good idea. www.integrityoregon.com Good luck!
