Yes a reckless driving alcohol-related, aka wet reckless, is a misdemeanor: Vehicle Code Section 23103 per 23103.5. It is not a minor traffic violation.

Misdemeanor. You can file for an expungement to have it removed from your criminal record (not DMV though).

It is a misdemeanor. In LA county it results in a slightly lower fine and 24 month probation, usually. You have to do a 12 hour DUI class. Most importantly it is priorable, that is any subsequent DUI will be treated as a second DUI. Edward J. Blum 213-479-5322
