The lawyer is a state appointed guardian and mother passed away almost 2 months ago and house he said is still pending. Does he have the right to still be involved?

The answer depends entirely on Ohio state law. You should talk to a lawyer licensed and practicing in the area where your mother was living. In many jurisdictions, the death of a ward would necessitate that a probate estate be opened and all heirs would be entitled to notice. There may be some liens against your mother's property or estate. You should act fast to protect your interests.

Please speak to an OH lawyer. If your mother had a guardian who was attempting to sell her home, there might need to be a significant change in the handling of your mother's estate now that she has passed.
