What does SLE mean on a home deed
A home was sold seller remained living in house and new owner was listed on deed with former owner listed as SLE. What does this mean?

I have never seen initials used for this purpose, but my guess based on your description is "subject to a life estate." A life estate gives an individual the right to occupy real estate until he or she dies.
