Is there any pro-bono immigration lawyer in tucson, az? Thanks

I have recently contacted some lawyers in the area but none are offering affordable rates, I am currently not working. I have a kid and wife who needs my support and I need to provide them home and shelter. Thanks

Two potential resources. First, call the state bar association. State bar associations often have a referral service and low fee or pro bono attorneys are on the list for low income folks who call. So, contact your state bar association and ask for the pro bono referral section. Be prepared to fill out forms or otherwise give info to make sure that you qualify. The other potential resource is a county bar association. When I first started my office I was on the county bar association referral list. These associations are a little closer to the attorneys and they generally know which attorneys have skills in a particular area. They, too should have pro bono advocates. Finally, I know I said two resources, but there is a national association of immigration attorneys that is very active. If you are good on the computer, use your favorite search engine and find their website, then see if there are bro bono attorneys.

You can go to www.aila.org and review their list of immigration attorneys in your area. Some may do pro-bono. You can also contact Catholic Charities Immigration Service.
