How do I evict someone from my camper & get my camper back?

I had a verbal agreement with a friend that he could live in my camper on his rental property. We are no longer friends & I would like my camper back but he has refused saying to evict him. What would the eviction process be in this situation?

You have kind of a mess on your hands. If title is in your name, I would say that you take a copy to the police and have them escort you to the property to reclaim the camper. It is not so much a question or "evicting" him, because the camper is on HIS property. You cannot evict him from his property. You can repossess YOUR property, however. If the police are not willing to cooperate with you on this, telling you that it is a "civil matter," then I would file a small claims action against him. The costs are minimal, and that would be your best shot at quickly getting your camper back. James Frederick

The process would be the same as any other eviction on the surface. You give notice, file in court, attend hearing, get writ of restitution, hire bailiffs. That's pretty routine. What complicates process is that your camper is on rental property. So, assuming it's still there. You should arrive with the bailiffs prepared to remove your camper. I'd have my attorney with me through the entire process.
