ACT 122 and Court Fines

DUI 2 views 3 answers
My probation officer has informed me that I must pay off my court fines before he will send an ACT 122 to Penndot. I cant get my license back until I pay off all of my court fines. How is this legal? I've been on a payment plan for over a year and a half and have never missed a payment.

There is a requirement that offenders complete court ordered treatment before they can get there license back. I'm not aware of any requirement to pay off fines and costs to get your license back. You should bring this up with your attorney. As an attorney I would call the PO and ask what legal authority there is for him to not send in the documentation to PennDOT? (I think that it is the Clerk of Courts that actually sends in the PennDOT forms. Good luck.

I agree PA colleagues. Have your attorney deal with this.
