Buyer should be living in the condo she bought and make it as her permanent residence.

My daughter is buying us a condo because our credit is not good. Everything is fine except our lawyer called us today after talking to the Seller's lawyer. My lawyer informed me that we cannot live in the condo unless our daughter lives there too and make it as her primary residence for a period of 1 year. How many days in a week (by law, is 1 or 2 times a week ok) can our daughter stay in the condo every week, meaning to be consider it as her primary residence? She works 50 miles away from the condo she is buying. She has a 1 bedroom apartment that she is renting.

It sounds like the condo bi-laws require the owner to reside in the home. Your daughter cannot purchase for you. You need to speak with your lawyer immediately, It is possible this closing cannot take place. Living in the residence means living there - not staying overnight a couple times a week. Perhaps there is another option for this purchase but your lawyer will be in the best position to advise you.
