I tried to get the PD officer not to arrest my husband. I did not file charges, Officer did. They said it was a felony. All has been fine since the incident when he hit me. We have no money for an attorney. My daughter said a "personal bond" Please tell me something positive

You may ask the Judge for a "PR" bond. It is up to the judge but it really depends upon his criminal record, ties to the community, job situation, facts of the case, the prosecutor's reccomendation and the reccomendation of the probation department / pre trial services, if any. Ultimately, you do not "press charges" or not. Once arrested, the state decides whehter to go forward with the case becuase it is the state who is technically the party to the lawsuit. Depending upon the D, the office policies and the facts of the case, they may or may not take your wishes into consideration in making that decision.
