"VUFA" is an acronym for "Violation of the Uniform Firearm Act." Also sometimes known as "UPFA" for "Unlawful Possession of a Fire Arm." The potential sentence would depend on her criminal record. Usually, a VUFA is for possessing a firearm after having been previously convicted of a felony (or some misdemeanors or juvenile offenses), and there are two degrees of seriousness.

You probably mean to write VUCSA (Violation of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act). The sentencing of a convict depends on what the convict is convicted of and the convict's criminal law history within the statutory period.

VUFA is sometimes an abbreviation used in gun (firearm) cases and any potential time your friend may be facing is case specific depending in the facts in your friend's case and their criminal history. They should talk with their lawyer.

VUFA is sometimes used as an abbreviation in an Unlawful Possession of a Firearm charge. (I do not know where the abbreviation comes from, but have seen it used quite a bit.) Sentencing depends on the person's criminal record and the specific details of the case. It would be impossible to predict the sentencing range without more information.
