Procedure for quashing a warrant in state of Texas

My son was issued a ticket last year for not having a driver's license and not having proof of insurance. When his court date came, he missed the date. The officer who wrote the ticket did not put his name down correctly so when I called to find out if there was a warrant for his arrest, I was told there was nothing in his name or with his driver's license. Yesterday, he was arrested for the outstanding warrant. When I called to find out if he could be bonded, I was first told yes for $100, then I was told $250. When his friends tried to bond him out, they could not because they had tried him using the incorrect name. I think he probably needs to have a lawyer to help sort through the confusion.
