Sue them all. The cause of action is called Conversion. The originnal thief is guilty of theft. That's called conversion in a civil court case. The others are guilty of possesison of stolen property. That's called conversion in a civil court case. You could win a judgment for the fair market value of the vehicle plus punitive damages. Make an appointment with a personal injury attorney. If there are no relevant facts that are different from the ones you posted, you shoud win.
