HOA's sprinkler head sprays water on a wall causing seepage into the home damaging inside who is responsible?

Reading the bylaws of this 2006 townhome the HOA is responsible for painting outside. It appears that the sprinkler head is spraying water onto one wall. Cracks have appeared in stucco.. The water then seeps through the cracks and exists inside on the floor creating mold and stains on the carpet. It seems the water beats on the window sill outside causing the inside sill to separate from the sheet rock. The HOA now states that they are only responsible for maintenance of the roof. On the budget each year an allowance is made for painting which has never been done. (Did not receive a copy of this year's budget) If I fix the cracks and paint the wall the sprinkler head is still going to be there. Do I just do this repair and hope for the best. I can't afford a repeat. Help

See the answers in the second post to this question. You will as well need to make sure the HOA didn't file an amendment changing their duties to maintain t he outside of the building. While this isn't a condo, a judge would probably look to the condo cases for guidance. Condos are usually only liable to fix the problem and replace any common elements, but not liable for damages to the inside.

Whoever controls the sprinklers appears to be the party liable for your damages.
