I am renting a house in Norton,Ma. We are tenants at will, did not receive a notice from landlord till today. We are in process of moving to another property but have been delayed because my wife fell in the driveway and has been on bed rest. We have communicated with landlord all along but recently stopped because she said she was sending her ex-husband to the door, not sure what that meant but she has been a little erratic lately sp, not sure what to do next?

You should speak with a lawyer in your area immediately. Depending upon the circumstances surrounding your wife's fall in the driveway, she may have a personal injury case against the landlord and in addition you may be able to stop the eviction. Even without the slip and fall you might be able to delay or prevent the eviction depending upon at what stage in the process the case is in.

A Notice to Quit is nothing but a notice. The landlord cannot evict you without an order of the Court. Unless you have a lease or rental agreement stating the landlord can give you 72 hours Notice to Quit (even if you do, it's extremely questionable if 72 hours is valid), the landlord needs to give you 14 days for failure to pay rent and 30 days for anything else. If you do not vacate voluntarily, the landlord must then file a Complaint for Summary Process with the Court and have you served by Constable. The hearing will be 3-4 weeks after that. I strongly recommend you see a lawyer immediately to ascertain your rights.
