I am still working 35 hrs a week for a Senior center that is funded buy the county, state and the US Gov.ithappened12/19/13 I went to a local doc the same the next day. He said lets give it 3 weeks and we will see if their is a change, meaning if it is the same or worse we will go to the next level. they called a week later to push it up a week. he determined i needed a MRI, I recommended a orthopedic surgeon i used in the past. The new doc asked me if i had xray or a mri yet, i said know, after he scratched his hear wondering why not he ordered them. i brought them in and he did say torn ACL and meniscus. yesterday he gave me a shot to sooth it for now. this is where i am at now. what steps do i take 2 max

First, you should hire a skilled worker's compensation attorney who can protect you from yourself in this complicated process. Second, hire a lawyer. There sre so many steps, you will almost certainly cost yourself time, treatment and money if you try to go it alone.

I agree with Mr. Laden and Mr. Connell. The best way to maximize the value you will receive in your case is to hire a skilled Workers' Compensation attorney. Use the "Find a Lawyer" tab above to find an attorney in your area. Next, and in response to your comments above, your employer CAN fire you whenever they want. However, if they are firing you for any reason having to do with your work related injury, that is UNLAWFUL and you may have rights under California Labor Code Section 132a. Thank you for trusting . And good luck with the rest of your case.
