I was arrested because a search warrant through info. of an PI. I have no felony convictions in the past 8 years since release in 2006 where I served a shock program as a sentencing alt. for drug sale. Before then in 2003 I was sentenced to 6mo. 5 yr prob. for a grand larceny charge. Since 2006 I've been on a straight and arrow path completing my parole without issues, staying employed since 2006 and even earning my Ass. Degree in 2010. There were no reason for the police to enter where I lived(other than informant) because I do not engage in criminal activity any more. I'm on bail-the arrest charge is for weed not the guns. What can I possibly get in a plea? I have letters from my boss of 3 yrs if it helps. I'm too poor for a lawyer so I come here. Can I fire my lgal. Aid for Bx. Def?

You are subject to sentencing as a 2nd felony offender or even a persistent felony offender. You ask what you can possibly get in a plea (bargain?) which only your attorney can answer. You have 3 felonies within 11 years, and any prosecutor, absent evidentiary problems, would probably insist on sate prison. Then again, it is the Bronx.

If you are not charged with the gun, why did you mention 265.02? If you have been charged with the felony gun, you are a predicate offender and would get stete prison if convicted. The appointed attorney can be replaced if there is a good reason.
