You can say "adios" or stay and pay the new owner. It's your choice. Hopefully, you had no security deposit to worry about recovering.

You owe rent for the time you lived in the house. The rent is due to the owner of the house. If you are on a month to month tenancy, you must give the owner 15 days notice before the end of the month to move out on the last day of the month. If you are unsure of your rights and responsibilities as a tenant, you should consult an experienced real estate lawyer in your area.

I agree with Mr. Russo. You decide but if you stay you will have to pay rent. Good luck.
