Can I renew my driver license while I am waiting to do interview for I-589 application??

Dear sir/Madam,
I just apply for asylum ( I-589 application) last month March 2104 , I received the receipt from the immigration, I'm going to do fingerprinting next week. My question is, can I renew my driver license this month, or I have to wait 150 days?
Note/ my driver license expired February 2014.

Whether you can renew your driver's license is a question of state law. I would consult with a qualified immigration attorney in your area about your eligibility for renewal with a pending asylum application. Good luck to you.
It depends if you otherwise have valid immigration status. If you are out of status, you cannot currently renew your license in Colorado. In August, the law changes and immigrants, regardless of status, will be eligible for licenses (provided they meet the other non-immigration requirements).
