When put on federal probation when would they want you to take a drug test
will be my first time meeting my probation officer my crime was not drug related

On federal supervised release, they are liable to test you whenever. I would expect to be tested on your first visit.

If you have testing conditions, you can expect to be tested both at your probation meetings, and randomly at any time.

You should look at the order of your probation sentence. It may indicate whether drug testing is required. Otherwise talk to your probation officer who can tell you what's expected.
