Ex-boyfriend threatened to post nude photos of me for breaking up with him, What action if any should I take if any?

I sent my now EX boyfriend naked pictures of myself through text message while we were together none of which my face is showing (that I can remember). I ended it with him three weeks ago and he's been calling, texting, and emailing me everyday trying to get me to talk to him. Well tonight I texted him back and reiterated that I was done with him and choose not to see him anymore. He then replied in text that he's going to make a website to post my naked photos to because I'm a heartless b*tch and he's going to pay me back. I feel so harassed, scared, confused. I read online similar situations and people say just ignore the EX he'll only do it if he knows it'll hurt you then I read other people saying I should report him to the police so if he does post them he'll be in big trouble. Help.
The most important question is how old were you when the pictures were taken? If under 18 he will be in triuble for distributing child pornography. But if that is the case it is a double edged sword; you could also be chaffed with thw same crime.
Assuming you were over 18, if he is attempting to force you to do things of a sexual nature in order to not post the pictures it is extortion and you should go to the police. He is desperate and unless you tell me he is also a complete psycho with nothing to lose I be may be bluffing. He knows that once he does this it is over forever, he is grabbing for straws to just speak to you. Save ALL of his texts.
If he does post the images you can get them removed because you own the copyright. You can send a DMCA Takedown notice to the hosting company. If you need one let me know and I will send you a sample.
The key here is that you sent him the photos so that he is rightfully in possession of them. However, that aside, if he does go ahead and create a website as threatened, you may still have other claims that you can make. The bigger question then will be whether it makes sense to sue him - if you win a judgment, can he pay? Speak with a lawyer - many will give you a fee consultation - who is familiar with personal injury law and see how to protect yourself before and after he posts the website.
This is a classic 'revenge porn' scenario, where the jilted lover posts (or threatens to post) explicit images obtained during the relationship, with the understanding that they would be kept private. The Ex boyfriend is may end up in serious trouble if he follows through with the threat, depending on the laws of your particular state. Many states have passed 'revenge porn' statutes that make this activity criminal. But existing extortion and computer hacking statutes may be enough for law enforcement to take action., even in the absence of a revenge porn statute. Your Ex may have legal possession of the images, but you have a right of publicity that has not been granted to him, unless you gave him permission to publish the images. So if he does this, you can also pursue him in civil court for damages. Either hire a lawyer to evaluate your options under state law or, if you are unable to do so, contact law enforcement and put the Ex on notice that you will not cave to his extortion threats, and that he will face serious consequences if he publishes the images or continues the threatening behavior.

In Ohio, this can be prosecuted as extortion right now, and telecommunications harassment if he posts the photos. You should call the police right away, and tell them you wish to press charges. Good luck.
The Internet has created a whole new catagory of crime called Revenge Porn. There are many avenues for you to choose from in addressing these threats by your ex.
His threats are a classic case of blackmail, and the police may (or may not) help you. However, before you call the cops, I suggest you speak to an attorney so their are no unintended consequences to you.
