DUI and reduction / deferred prosecution.

For a first time DUI with no prior criminal history, how likely is it that the court will reduce the charge to a lesser offense? If I decide to plead guilty, in TN what are the options of a deferred prosecution or sealing the records of the case?

You really need to talk with a local DUI lawyer to see what they can do for you. These cases have become more and more serious with long range potential problems and you need to ensure that you obtain the very best result available locally for this charge. They will be able to obtain a much better result than you can expect on your own and minimise the damage. Hope that's helpful

First , the court cannot reduce the charge. It is the district attorney that makes that call. It is not likely that the case will be reduced. You did not provide any facts of the case. Under Tennessee law there is no deferred prosecution and a DUI conviction is a permanent conviction. Your best option is to fight the case.

The chance of a reduction would be determined by the facts of the case. You have no chance to get diversion or sealed records on a dui. You need an experienced dui attorney to help you. Good luck!
