Trespassing signs?

2 views 1 answers
I was told that our no trespassing signs on our property only apply to the structure (our home) and the fenced-in back yard and that if we didn't want people playing and such in our front yard we should put up a fence? Is this accurate?

I recommend calling your city zoning/permitting office to discuss this issue with them. If you have a homeowner's association, there may be rules on signage ifor the front of your home as well. You could also call a local real estate attorney. My instinct on this would be that your "no trespassing" signs apply to your entire property, front and back, but you should confirm the local law on this to be certain.
