I'm waiting for PERM approval in EB2 GC process. I'm getting married, will change in my marital status affect my GC application?

When PERM was filed, my marital status was Single. PERM was filed in October 2013, and application was audited in May. According to current processing timelines for audited applications, I'm anticipating a response in Feb 2015. My fiancé and I would like to get married in March next year. Although he is a US citizen, we both want to go through employment based Greencard, rather than marriage based. Will a change in my marital status from single to married affect my current greencard application?
If you are married when you get the green card, you should get the benefit of the 3 year wait for naturalization rather than the 5 year standard. It should have no other effect. You are not planning to apply for an immigration benefit based on the marriage. So I would not plan the marriage around any expected immigration dates. You get married when it works for both of you. Congratulations to you both!
