Why does my child support check say retained by state?

Sometimes whenthe state collects child support either through the department of revenue or other like kind agency inyour state accidents happen or they may assumed you were paid twice, give them a call or viist the office and they will explain, take care. H

This is not a law question but more a question of administratively what their codes mean in their system. You would have to ask them or your local Child Support Office. It my simply refer to the fact that they retained his tax refund to satisfy arrearages to you, or it could be some kind of error by them thinking they have some right to retain this money
