Was wondering if one in az court. Could ask for some lienancy or to have a fines modiffied to get my drivers license restored or at least a permit.. its going on 8. Years and have chances to work as it stand now ... its virtualy impossibly to obtain a decent job to commute. I hear once a year there is a program that one can see. Judge to review such cases is this fact or fiction?
Your best bet is going to the court where you r license is suspended and asking to see a Judge. Some times judges will allow you to get on a payment plan and restore your license while you are making payments. It depends on the facts of your case and why your license is suspended.

First, you need to find out where your suspended license stems from. Find out which court has placed a hold on your license. Beware, the court that has a hold on your license may also have a warrant for your arrest. This will depend on whether the speeding ticket is civil or criminal. Either way you must resolve the open case to have the court release your license. If the case is resolved and you only owe fines. Then visit the court and make payment arrangements so the court can release the hold on your license with the MVD.
If your license has suspended, rather than revoked, then it is a temporary loss of driving. The suspension period likely ended years ago. So taking care of the fines, penalties, and completing a reinstatement application should lead to the suspension being lifted, as long as there are no unresolved civil or criminal matters that need to be addressed. If you suspect, or wish to find out safely if criminal charges are pending, you should consult a criminal defense attorney before you proceed. If not, and there is justifiable reasons why the fines have not been paid, it may be addressed at a requested hearing in the matter. But it would likely not change things, and serve only to delay the process. You will most likely still be required to pay the fines, fees and penalties owed to satisfy the requirements for reinstatement. Attached are links to the Arizona MVD and Department of Transportation that provide guidelines and step by step procedures for reinstating your driver's license.
