I bought a place with my boyfriend - put in his name only. We broke up - how does my name get put on the title?

It's getting nasty because he is controlling everything. It is a rental. I was suppose to get all the profits, but off course he is denying that. Basically he is ripping me off. I do have emails back and forth with him regarding I am an owner. The previous owner knows I put up half. Do I need a certify letter from the previous owner? We paid $7,500 each (mobile home) don't know the process for civil suit because it's over $5,000. Any suggestions?

There is no easy answer to this and you need an attorney. If he will not sign over what you are owed you will need to file suit.

This is a sadly common situation. As the other lawyer said, you will likely have to file a lawsuit against your ex to get your interest recognized. In Florida, you can only get an interest in real estate if there is something in writing which shows you were intended to have an interest in it--the emails you mention may be very important. If you did put up half the money for the initial purchase and your boyfriend misled you about the deal, you may be able to sue on that basis too. You need to talk to a lawyer for help. Good luck.

Unfortunately, unless he agrees to it, he is NOT required to sign it over to you. You will need a quit claim deed that he will need to sign over to you. But again, he must agree.
