Credit for weekend jail time in levy?

Sentenced to weekend time in levy county. My question is that the hours are 7pm Friday to 7 pm Sunday. Being that it is only 48 hours does this count as 2 or 3 days served?

call the jail and ask. in pinellas, you usually get credit for a day if you are incarcerated for any part of it, so traditionally, our clients get three days credit for a weekend. that said, at least one judge has ordered otherwise in the past, and another ordered one of my clients to be let out at one a.m. on monday to give him four days credit for a weekend...so find out from the jail. good luck

It might be credited as three days. What was the total sentence, was it in days or in weekends?

It can vary. You best bet is to ask the jail how they recorded it. If an issue arises afterward, then have your attorney file a motion for clarification.

Any part of a day is counted as one day in jail unless your sentence was in hours. Sometimes your sentence will be "48 hours in jail". In those cases you must serve the 48 hours. If you were sentenced to days in the county jail, any part of the day will count as one day.
