Will Idaho extradite on a misdemeanor charge?

6 views 2 answers
My husband and I live in Washington state where recreational marijuana is legal. We were on a road trip and found ourselves just across the Idaho border and pulled over. My husband was arrested for possession. Book and release. Idaho pot laws are very strict and he could do a year for possession and paraphernalia. We are contemplating skipping court and never setting foot in Idaho again. What is the worst of the worst that could happen doing this? What is likely to happen?

Contact an Idaho license attorney to represent you. He or she will help minimize the consequences and will be in the best position to prepare you for the consequences your husband faces. I suspect the consequences will not be as harsh as you might expect. Good luck. This response is based on the limited facts provided and is not intended to establish any attorney-client relationship.
