No, you are not likely to lose your CNA license but, there may be employment consequences. Your job may not be as secure if your employer does annual background review checks and, if you are in the job market a simple background check of you driving record will turn up the matter and may suggest to a potential employer that you are a greater risk as an employee than a person without something like this on their record. I strongly urge you to contact a local rated criminal/OWI defense attorney, who is familiar with the court & the local prosecutors, to advise you and evaluate your case and the potential defenses you have as well as the consequences of a conviction. Best of luck.

I agree with Mr. Tauber. You should hire an experienced DUI defense attorney to help you fight the DUI to avoid any possible employment consequences. Sometimes, even mere charges can result in termination of employment.

As Mr. Tauber stated you may not lose your license however it is viewed by some employers as substance abuse. Hence issues can arise in regards to competency and liability. Hire a good attorney as the effects of your arrest have broader implications than just those imposed by the court. Best regards.

Mr. Tauber is right on the money. It probably won't result in a loss of your professional license (you should still consult with someone in your profession just to make sure) but there could be other employment consequences. A drunk driving conviction may send bells and whistles off to potential employers that you have a substance abuse problem. Also, there are restrictions with probation and your driver's license that may cause an inconvenience or problems. There are a lot of direct and collateral consequences of an OWI. Many people do not think about them or realize them until it is too late. That is why it is of the utmost importance that you get the best representation possible for this charge. Look for an attorney that has substantial experience in OWI cases including trying them. A great DUI lawyer more than pays for himself as a thorough review of the stop, administration of the field sobriety tests, review of the chemical tests, etc. may reveal problems or issues that could be used to get the charges reduced to an infraction or a non-alcohol related offense (such as reckless driving) or even dismissed. Many attorneys offer free consultations. Take advantage of it. Good luck.
