I have my VASAP intake interview next week. Do I have to give a urine test? If so how far back can they trace any alcohol?

Unless the conditions of your sentence include absolutely abstaining from alcohol, you will not be kicked out. They test to see if you are under the influence at the time. Usually in Fairfax that would be breath for alcohol and urine for other drug use. The alcohol urine test EtG can detect that your consumed alcohol about 80 hours afterward, but that is not likely the controlling test for you unless your conditions say no alcohol at all. If they do, those beers are not worth jail time. Even if they are a good beer like Dogfish Head.

ASAP requires you to abstain from alcohol while in the program. So even if that condition is not before the court, it could be deemed a violation as you are required to successfully complete ASAP. This is a public forum so it would probably be better that you don't make admissions on here. My understanding is that they usually don't test you unless there is a reason to suspect you. But why take the chance?
