L2 EAD to E1 (Dependent) EAD...

I have a Valid EAD which expires a year from now. I am about to change my status from L2 (EAD) to E1 (Dependent) which is also eligible for EAD. Is it possible for me to continue working without having to quit and reinstate until I receive my E1 EAD? Any way to shorten the 'GAP' if it is not possible?

No, you cannot continue to work once your EAD has expired, even if you have another application pending. You need to have a valid work authorization document in order to work.
