Immigration problem with civil history

hello, all. i am an international student, which is non- US citizen, and will soon graduate from temple university. i recently suffer from a civil suit and i am so poor that i am not able to hire an attorney to represent me. therefore, i will self- defense myself. but if i lose the case, i will be told to pay the plaintiff $18000, because i am not able to pay it at once, i believe i will still owe the plaintiff $9900 even after i graduate. the problem is i will graduate soon, and my parents will go to Florida and Vietnam with me after graduation, i was wondering if i can left America for a while even with the civil suit? can the judge give restriction to me that makes me unable to left Pennsylvania? (PS. i had an OPT with me )

Think bankruptcy as it will discharge your debts unless you committed fraud. A civil court judge cannot impose restrictions on your ability to leave.

Have you spoken to the attorneys at Legal Aid? I suggest you do so. PS .. this is not an immigration law question.
