Waiving your rights without quite understanding when being questioned in a criminal case. Can you be incriminated?
My grandson 25 years old after being told some detectives were looking for him for questioning, because a guy he was hanging with while in college shot up another man house after having an altercation with. That guy told police it was my grandson who did the shooting. So he took a bus without letting any family know, out of fear went to that state and talked with detectives. He said he didn't understand he could have had legal rep. With him so he waived his rights and talked to them and he caught bus back to Florida. Months later he is he is picked up on a warrant of charges of Complicity Wanton Endangerment class D 1st degree felony & has been taken back to that state. What should be done if he quite didn't understand his rights and can he get convicted on charges if he have incriminate hi
