I owe past rent on a commercial property. The property has been foreclosed on. Do I still pay past rent or is the lease voided?

I owe past rent and I had worked out a payment plan that I was paying every month. I just recently found out the property was foreclosed on. Can the landlord still sue me for past rent if he has been foreclosed on? I stopped paying over 4 months ago and just this week I got an email telling me that I still owe them money. This is about space in a shopping center.

Yes, you do still owe back rent. The fact that your prior landlord is no longer the owner of the property does not in any way alter the past relationship between you. Foreclosure of the property changes who your landlord is, and to whom rent is due, as of the date of foreclosure; but does not erase your prior rent requirements.
