Immigration question

I have a friend who is not related to me and does not have any family in America, that wants to come to the US. He is a national of Bangladesh, but currently resides in saudi arabia(he is not a saudi citizen). He wanted to come to the US so I told him i would try to find out how. He does not have $500,000 which would if I understand correctly allow him to create a business that would generate 5 us jobs, and thus allow him to obtain a green card. I just wanted to know what his options were at this point.

Your friend could qualify for E-2 investor visa by investing less than $500,000 and he does not have to generate a specific number of jobs. He should discuss his ideas with an experienced immigration attorney to see if other options apply.

I think this is a duplicate post of a question you already asked.

I agree with my colleague, an e-2 might work. Have a consultation with an attorney ... many of us use Skype.

As I understand, you are asking what your friend's options are to come and STAY in U.S. There are several non-immigrant options. He can get a Student Visa F1 and come here as a student. If he has an existing company in Saudi Arabia, he can try to file for the E2 investor visa or even an L1A visa for intra-company executive employees. The $500,000 investment in the Regional Center does not require any jobs to be created since the alien is investing in an existing job-creating project. He just has to give them the money and they will sponsor him for the green card (assuming he meets the other conditions of green card eligibility).
