Can I find out who called 911 to my home?

Business 4 views 3 answers
It was the middle of the night (3 a.m.) and four police banged on my door about a complaint of fighting/domestic issues. They came into my bedroom to make sure I was okay, apologized and left. I suspect this to be harassment by someone at work. What can I do to prove or disprove my suspicions that someone intentionally did this with malicious intentions?

You can try to get the records under a freedom of information request.

File an open records request with the Austin-Travis County EMS at www.austintexas.gov/pir. If the information is available it must be produced.

In addition to getting the information, consider filing a complaint about the false complaint. Call the police (not 911) and tell them you want to file a complaint about the false allegation. This may be a mistake, but if it was done by a malicious coworker, they may end up being arrested.
