Can I get a copy of my personnel file in Louisiana?

About a month ago I was informed that I had a personal conflict with another worker, my supervisor performed an investigation and found no grounds for the accusation, he even talked to the worker that I was supposed to have the conflict with and he stated there were none. He talked to various coworkers and all responded that there was no problem with me. I stated that the company project manger had a personal problem with me only and he agreed, I was informed that I was going bqack to work and not worry about my job. 6 weeks later my supervisor stated that the project mangers boss did not want me on the vessel or near the equipment. When I asked twice if I was fired or layed off, I received no answer. So I was wondering what kind of legal action I can take or do I have a case at all?
Just as a rule of thumb, if you're not fired yet, once you start bringing possibilities of a lawsuit and demanding to see your file, etc, you'll get much closer to being there, and at the very least, stand the chance of creating a climate of contempt toward you, so tread carefully.
There are certainly laws in Louisiana about wrongful termination, defamation, libel, slander, etc. As always, facts are very important.
I've attached a good nutshell on employment law in Louisiana.

The answer given here should be considered general and should not be considered legal advice, or that there has been an attorney-client relationship established. It is always suggested to retain the counsel of a lawyer for legal advice specific to your situation.
