3 misdemeaner larceny charges dismissed nolly pros, any recourse?

Company I worked for and represented in Walmart accused me of stealing. Seven months later, after contacting a lawyer friend, pursuing the issue and no answers, I walked into the state police post and discovered a month old warrant and was arrested. (Never been in trouble). This same attorney friend was criminal defense and, by proof of evidence, convinced the PA he did not have a case. The PA dismissed the case on Nolly Pros (sp). In the meantime, I will never be able to continue my profession of over 15 years. (It is based on mutual trust). I am older, live in Michigan, and will have a difficult time finding compatible work. Out thousands of dollars and growing to clear my name. Still need to clear arrest record, more $$. Most important to me, is the devistation to self this caused.
