I have been married to my wife, the US citizen, for one year and 8 months. I received my 2 year green card on our first anniversary. Do I need to apply for removal of conditions 90 days before our second anniversary or 90 days before my green card expiration?

You must file the application within that last 3 month period before the card expires. If you are late, you lose it.

The important date is the anniversary of your card and not your marriage. File the FORM I-751 within the 90 day period before the expiration of the conditional resident card.
