How long is "reasonable" time for a landlord to fix a hot water heater not working? I have 2 kids and no where to take showers other than the house I rent and I want to know how long my landlord has to fix it before I can do something.

Generally, the "reasonable" standard is case-specific, meaning it varies depending on the particular facts of the present situation. There are likely case precedents on point with your facts in your state. Therefore, I would consult with an attorney licensed in your state who can advise you as to your rights in this matter.
