Wisconsin Child Support Lein Docket..just how much do you REALLY need to be behind to be on it??

Child Support 5 views 1 answers
My case is in Milwaukee County. Ex owes over $200k in arrears. Everything I read online says that payers are automatically put on the lien docket if they are owe over $500 in arrears. My ex is not on the docket. I FINALLY got through to the child support office, and they claim that a payer must be behind in C.S. of at least two months worth of support? True or False? Is it a straight $500 or is there some clause? I can't find anything in state staue about beiing behind 2 months. Is MKE just slow and making excuses?

The Child Support Lien allows child support agencies to put a hold on a payer's property when they are past due. Generally, the payer goes on the lien docket when they are past due $500 or more. However, the child may have own policies regarding when the lien is placed. These policies my vary by county. There may be individual reasons in each case that also influence the agency's decision. You should keep in contact with the agency.
