These questions you need to ask your attorney. He is familiar with the facts. The Federal Sentencing Guidelines set out the advisory range of punishment, based on offense, victims, loss of money, prior history, how cooperative you might to be to further their investigation and other factors. Most Federal cases require time and then probation. But that is something you will need to discuss with your attorney.

You should hire a lawyer. The federal sentencing guidelines are difficult to calculate and take lots of time. Especially post-Padilla, where the court has some leeway, you need some one creating a mitigation case for you. That being said, you may get some point reductions (a good thing) for your cooperation.

It is hard to answer this question without all of the facts. Ask your attorney. He will have looked at the facts and the federal guidelines for punishment.
