The authority of a bankruptcy trustee

4 views 1 answers
Is it permissible for a bankruptcy trustee to keep the husband's share of the remaining proceeds (which amount to about $16,000) just because the former spouse dragged everything out by going back to court several times during the very long process. This is especially grievous considering the trustee would not help the husband with his issues and he released many funds over to the wife. Also, where can you go to file a complaint against a trustee in MD?

I have attached a link to the website of the US Trustee's office in charge of bankruptcy cases filed in Maryland. You need to have a knowledgeable bankruptcy attorney look at the court file and give you an option as to whether the bankruptcy trustee acted properly. Normally they pay out monies based on court orders.
