A few general points: 1. Please do not list identifying details in your questions. prefers that all questioners maintain their anonymity. 2. With both J-1 and L-1A (and L-1B), the spouse is allowed to work in the US as a J-2 or L-2 respectively. Only one of you would need to go through the application process. Alternatively, if both you are petitioned for, each has the other as a backup. 3. J1 programs have their own complex set of rules. Most importantly for you is the 221(e) foreign return requirement: that after completing J-1 programs both you and your J-2 spouse would likely have to return to India (specifically, not to a third country) for two years prior to working further in the US. The point of this is that J-1 programs are meant to train people who will then serve their home country. It is not meant as a temporary work visa. 4. If your husband does indeed qualify for an L-1A, he likely also qualifies for an EB-1 green card. If you can get his company to apply for that, it would solve all of your problems.
