Need a Lawyer advice. Got an issue with T-Mobile. By mistake about a year ago they opened Temporary account for 2 lines (which moved to my actual business account), and they didn't closed it. So about a week ago got a letter from them, what I owe them for that temporary account (which I had no idea about it existence at all) something like 80$ and if I'm not closing that balance it will go to collection. So I called them.. because I was thinking it's a fraud and maybe somebody was using my company name to open tmobile account, and they found out it was temporary account and it's their mistake.. You did not finish your question; but it sounds like you're on the right track to getting this resolved. Simply send a letter to the collection agency explaining that you dispute this charge and, if possible, direct all further inquiries to an attorney of your choice.

Hypothetically, since you did not finish your question, I would invoke the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and inform the collection agency, in writing, that you want to work with the original creditor, which is your right under the FDCPA. Then, go back to T-Mobile and continue to try to straighten out your problem.

You need to make sure you get this resolved before they send it to a collection agency. Call them everyday and have them send you something in writing that it was their mistake. Just because they verbally agreed it was their mistake is not enough to cover your you know what when the time comes to take further action. Again, call them everyday until it gets resolved. Get the supervisors name and direct line or email. if you get the email address send an email everyday and require a response back to properly document this.
