Do I need to contact a lawyer if I just discovered by my primary doctor that I have a foreign object in my chest?

I had an x-ray for an injury for my left arm and discovered I have a foreign object in my chest. So my doctor had a x-ray of my chest and it was confirmed it to be a needle from a hernia repair surgery I had back in 2009. I was not aware of this until I had the x-ray done on December 16,2014

Yes, the discovery rule will likely apply in your case, but you should contact a lawyer as soon as possible. The issue will be what your damages are. Feel free to contact me for a free consultation.

Yes, call a personal injury lawyer and schedule an appointment as soon as possible. Generally speaking, leaving a foreign object is someone's body is going to be difficult to defend and often involves special theories of negligence and liability. Luckily you have not had worsening complications. Seek treatment, document everything and call legal counsel. Merry Christmas.
