How do I respond to an RFE on my 765 application, which requests evidence of an extended parole when my parole expires mid Jan?

I am an immigrant from Guatemala and crossed the border at Arizona in July. Upon crossing, DHS issued me an I-94 paroling me under sec. 212(d)(5)(a) until mid january. I would like legal work authorization while I am awaiting an immigration court date, where I intend to file an asylum application. The RFE seeks evidence of an extension of the parole, or evidence of a stamp in my passport showing an extension was granted. I have no such extension. How do I request one and have an extension issued? RFE is due in 87 days. I applied for work permission because 212d5a parolees are supposed to be eligible for this. Thank you.
