WIll I get drug tested on bench probation in OR?

So I'm on bench probation for a DUII for two years. Have been on for over six months now, and only got drug tested the Monday after I was sentenced (the past Thursday) . I know I messed up and I actually quit drinking. It's been great. But some times I get the urge to partake in pot. Not often, would just like to have a couple puffs every weekend or so. Do you think I will get drug tested while on
I don't practice in Or but in my experience anyone who is placed on probation is subject to and does get random drug tests. I'd be amazed if Or does not drug test probationer.
It depends on the initial terms and conditions of your probation. If the initial order placing you on probation allows random drug testing, then you may be tested at any time. Also, if the probation officer has reason to suspect drug usage, he/she can get a modification to allow drug testing.
YOu can be tested at any time. I assume you are or will be doing alcohol treatment. Random testing also occurs during treatment. Keep in mind that failing a UA or blood test is a violation of probation. The judge could then continue or extend your probation and sentence you to additional jail time, community service, a more restrictive treatment program, or additional financial obligations. Or, the judge could find that the purposes of probation are no longer being served and just revoke your probation and sentence you to the maximum jail term of 1 year. Are a couple of puffs worth the potential consequences?
Yes. And unless you have an Oregon Medical MJ Card, possession and consumption of pot is still illegal, so you are violating a condition of probation already! You should go the AA/NA meetings and get a sponsor ASAP before things get out of hand. Being proactive on probation not only shows the court that you want to succeed, but is a way for you to ensure that you stay out of the criminal system in the future.
