Is this a conflicting matter on a criminal and civil case?
If a person has a criminal case and civil case (1983 litigation), is it a conflict if the judge on the criminal case is the father of one of the defense attorneys for the civil trial?

That argument can certainly be made to try to have either the father or the son replaced. I doubt you will win though. The courts are generally willing to assume such a minor conflict won't alter either's judgment.
