I got a BP 25620 (a) ticket over the weekend. Am I going to have to go before a judge or is there just a fine that I mail in?

I have a wet reckless on my record, but I am past my probation date. Is this going to be a problem? The ticket says infraction on it but can they charge me for a misdemeanor because of my past history? Should I hire a lawyer?
You would need to supply a bit more information, but generally speaking unless the ticket gives you a court date, it is probably correct to treat the infraction as one that can be remedied by simply paying the fine. If you are concerned, I would contact the court clerk or a local attorney.
This is a ticket for having an open container, and is an infraction. You will not have a problem due to your past history, and can simply pay the fine and get it behind you.
Locate an experienced criminal defense lawyer in your area, who specializes their practice in DUI DEFENSE, make an appointment, bring whatever evidence, documents or witnesses that you may have, engage in a meaningful face-to-face consultation. Each case is different. Get advice on your specific case and scenario. Most on offer FREE consultations. Best of luck to you.
It's a simple infraction and you should be able to just pay the fine and move on with your life.....you should have no problems because of your past wet reckless/probation. Best of luck.
It's an infraction. You should still get a free consultation with local counsel that practices criminal defense counsel or DUI counsel. Prices are generally very reasonable and the Knowledge you will gain is priceless. There are other issues and questions that need to be asked and addressed that are missing from these sparse facts. Good luck. Hope this helps?
